The Crusader Basketball Program was on the road to Clearwater Friday evening - overall results were good! The Boys "C" Team won their 2nd game in a row, the JV Boys battled hard but were edged out by their Indian counterparts and the Varsity Girls and Boys and JV Girls - all put up "W's" from the trip away. This coming week will be all HOME action for our "5" basketball teams. WHS will host Collegiate on Tuesday and then host Augusta on Friday. Friday, is a big day at WHS, a new DUKE (candidates are Hayden Baker, James Hinman, Logan Jones, Ian King & Austin Sears) will be crowned during the Boys Varsity halftime! On Saturday, the WHS Varsity Wrestlers competed at the17 team invitational at Rossville HS, which is located west of Topeka on I70. (about 180 miles one-way)...overall results were good for the Crusaders. Senior Matt McComb shined on the day, going 2-1, falling in the Championship match to Justin Schuman (Shawnee Mission East) in an 11-6 decision. Great Job Matt!
