Alda is proud to say her life and profession are intertwined. Starting with the Wellington Daily News in the 60's, she has enjoyed many phases of the media world, from hot lead and ticker tape to computerized layouts. Leaving the print media in 2000, Alda walked through the doors of Sumner Cable TV and with Jud MItchell's blessings a visual mini-newspaper on Channel 5 soon emerged. Later, another cable operation, Channel 55 was started. Her first scripted production, "Coaches Corner" was filmed in the kitchen of Cable TV. The staff of six now enjoys a remodeled building with a roomy studio and a variety of shows. Alda said the "R" word isn't in her vocabulary.
