Time of Incident- 4:36 AM and 4:57 AM

Address of Incident-217/219 W. 4th, 216 South F and 1621 W. 8th

Brief Summary of Incident-Wellington Fire/EMS responded to a reported structure fire at 4:36 AM. at 216 South F. Upon arrival found two story apartment building with heavy smoke visible and one occupant standing on a balcony awaiting rescue. Occupant was immediately brought down with fire department ladder. At the scene, staff, were made aware of a second structure on fire across the street at 217/219 West 4th. Crews began simultaneously fighting both fires. At 4:57 AM 911 dispatch advised of a third structure fire at 1621 West 8th. At this time automatic mutual aid was responding from Mayfield and began suppression operations at that address along with Fire District 9 and Mulvane Fire Departments. Both the South F and West 8th structures suffered significant fire damage. The apartment building at 217/219 West 4th had minimal fire damage. All three fires are considered intentionally set and are under investigation.
