Gus Collins, Wellington City Manager, resigns

Wellington City Manager Gus Collins has submitted his resignation and announced the decision to his staff officially Monday.

The now former City Manager provided the following statement to Studio 55.

He said this was " of the most difficult decisions I've ever made in my professional career. We do have another opportunity, but I leave Wellington with mixed emotions."

The Wellington City Council will hold a Special City Council meeting at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the City Council Chambers, 317 South Washington, Wellington, Kansas.

Lady Crusaders Split / Crusaders Fall to 6-6 On The Season

As the Varsity Lady Crusaders claw their way back to .500 ball, (now 5-7 on the season), the Varsity Crusaders, after starting out 5-1, are trying to hang on at 6-6. Neither has had a home game in the month of April but that all changes next week when the RED TEAMS sneak a couple in on Monday here at home vs Circle before the May flowers start to bloom later in the week.
